Domitian AE 'Sestertius' of Philippopolis, Thrace. Struck AD 88-89.

IMP CAES DOMIT AVG GERM COS XIIII CENS PER P P, laureate head to right / ΦIΛIΠΠOΠOΛEITΩN, City-goddess holding patera and wheat ears standing to left by the river god Hebros, who reclines to right on vase from which water flows, holding long reed in left hand, while another reed grows behind him. RPC II, 351; Mionnet I p. 415, 340; Varbanov 622. Near Very Fine.(23.62gr, 36mm, 6h.).
