Dark Age Gold Ring with Flat-Bed Garnet
6TH-7TH CENTURY A.D.
3/4 in. (2.25 grams, 21.52 mm overall, 18.75 mm internal diameter (approximate size British P 1/2, USA 7 3/4, Europe 16.86, Japan 16)).
With slender hoop and splayed shoulders, ellipsoid bezel with twisted collar and beaded wire filet, cell with inset almandine garnet over a waffle-pattern sheet-gold backing.
