Cypriot Red Polished Ware Bowl

BRONZE AGE, CIRCA 2000-1600 B.C.

5 1/2 in. (289 grams, 14 cm).

Hemispherical in profile with slightly inverted rim, band of circumferential incised lines beneath the rim and concentric zigzags below, roundels to the underside; single small pierced bulb for suspension. [No Reserve]

    Comprising: a tubular green glass fitting with applied white-glass spines, pinched beak and broad eyes with spurs at the ears, probably an owl; a D-shaped oblate with central piercing and spurs to the angles, perhaps a bird; similar with longer curved spurs, probably a duck. 11.4 grams total, 17-29 mm
