Treveri mint; struck AD 310-313. 1st officina. CONSTANTINVS P F AVG, laureate and cuirassed bust to right / MARTI CON-SERVATORI, Mars standing to right, holding spear and resting hand on shield; T F across fields, PTR in exergue. RIC VI 862. Good Very Fine.(4.49gr, 24mm, 5h.).

    With an impression of the obverse on one side, and the reverse on the other, of the coin being counterfeited this ancient forger's casting mould would have been stacked with others, the molten metal being poured from above and allowed to cool.
