Draped bust of Artemis to right, wearing stephanos, bow and quiver over shoulder / Eagle with wings spread standing to right; ABY-ΔH-NΩN above, filleted thyrsos in right field, ANAΞAΓOPOY in exergue; all within laurel wreath. Very Fine. Dark toning with hints of golden and blue iridescence around the devices.

Persia. Achaemenid Empire, Time of Xerxes I to Darius II AR Siglos. Circa 485-420 BC. Sardes or subsidiary mint. Possibly type IIIb (early), style B.

Lydo-Milesian standard. Persian king or hero, wearing kidaris and kandys, quiver over shoulder, in kneeling-running stance to right, holding transverse spear and bow / Oblong incuse punch. Cf. Carradice Type IIIb, Groups A/B (pl. XII). 5.57gr, 14mm.
Near Very Fine. Countermarked on both sides.
