NORTHERN WEI, 386-534 A.D. OR LATER
12 1/4 in. (3.7 kg, 31 cm).
Rectangular in plan with recessed arch, figure modelled in the half-round of Buddha sitting on a raised throne with mandorla to the rear, hands positioned in the gesture of reassurance (Abhaya Mudra).
