Chinese Tang Terracotta Horse and Rider
TANG DYNASTY, 618-907 A.D.
17 1/2 in. (5.7 kg, 44.5 cm).
Modelled in the round in static pose on a rectangular base, the rider inclined slightly forward with arms bent; both hands pierced to accept reins (absent).

Ex West Country, UK, collection, 1980-1990s.
Accompanied by a thermoluminescence analysis report no.C124d50 from Oxford Authentication.
This lot has been checked against the Interpol Database of stolen works of art and is accompanied by a search certificate number no.12154-217629.
