Chinese Tang Terracotta Figure

TANG DYNASTY, 618-907 A.D.

9 1/4 in. (404 grams, 23.5 cm).

Modelled in the round, standing on a rectangular base, hands held before the chest, hair dressed in an elaborate style; remains of polychrome pigmentation.

Ex Desond Morris collection, pre 2000.

    Ex Cotswold, UK, collection, 1970-1990. Accompanied by an original thermoluminescence analysis report no.09CM260619 from Laboratory Kotalla. This lot has been checked against the Interpol Database of stolen works of art and is accompanied by search certificate number no.203484.
