Chinese Painted Neolithic Jar

12 1/2 in. (3.45 kg, 32 cm).

With piriform body, waisted neck, everted rim and integral rectangular-section loop handles, circumferential bands of painted geometric motifs of hatched circles, chevrons and hands; chipped and repaired.
