4 - 5 1/8 in. (501 grams total, 10-13 cm wide).

Comprising: a carved cluster of vegetation with squat bowl and a slender pipe amid openwork flowers and leaves; small shallow bowl amid openwork carved fish and other detailing. [2, No Reserve]

From the old private collection of a retired UK gentleman; his collection formed in the 1990s.

    In the mid 15th century a freighting junk loaded with fine Vietnamese pottery sank in an area of the South China Sea called the 'Dragon’s Embrace.' This vessel is part of the shipwreck cargo recovered off the coast of Vietnam at Hoi An. The ceramics themselves were probably made in the area of Chu Dau.
