Celtic Britannia. North-Eastern series ('Corieltauvi'), Uninscribed AV Stater. Circa 50-20 BC.
South Ferriby type (Corieltauvian D). Devolved head of Apollo to right / Disjointed horse to left; 'anchor' shape above. Cf. ABC 1743 (rosette beneath horse); Cf. Van Arsdell 811-1 (star beneath horse); SCBC 390 (same). Very Fine. Surface abrasions on edge and highlights.(5.02gr, 18mm, 3h.).
