Byzantine Circular AE Coin Weight of 36 Grammata or Nomismata(?). Circa 4th-6th century AD.
Engraved cross between A(or Λ) S, N below; all within double wreath / Blank. Apparently unpublished in the standard references. Condition as seen.(38.15gr, 30mm x 7mm.).

The nearest weight standard according to the inscription would be that of 36 Nomismata (inscription as N ΛS), but according to the weight, 36 Grammata or Scrupuli (inscription as ΛS).

Nimbate saint on horseback to left, holding cruciform sceptre / Pillar-saint St. Symeon (Stylites) orans atop a large central column, flanked by two angels flying in; reliquary(?) to right and small figure going to climb ladder on left.
