Bronze Roman Coin and Limited Edition Framed Print
3RD CENTURY A.D. AND LATER
19 1/2 x 14 3/4 in. (1.26 kg, 49.5 x 37.5 cm).
The coin of Constantine the Great (272-337 A.D.) mounted on 22 carat gold foil, framed with an art print signed by the artist David McAllister, depicting scenes of Roman military activity; limited edition number 229/1150. [No Reserve]

Fragments of wall plaster with rendered surface with incised detailing to the edge; impression of timber laths to the reverse. 662 grams total, 6.5-10.6 cm
Acquired in the 19th century. Ex Jeger collection, Switzerland.
These small fragments, for analogies with the fragments of Pompeii, seems to belong to the second style of Roman painting, red panels representing highlight and shadow, decorated with vegetal interlaces. Some panels were probably framed by a red grenade fillet. A fragment shows alternate blue and red colour over a cream background, maybe pertinent to a socle. -

Of fusiform type with a rolled lip and thick rounded bottom; repaired. 43 grams, 25.2 cm
From the collection of a late East Anglian teacher and antiquarian who retired to the Isle of Wight in Hampshire, UK. He amassed a large collection of objects between the 1960s-1980s.
