Lucius Cerrinius Paetus, grammateus. Struck AD 138-140. Τ ΑΙΛΙΟϹ ΚΑΙϹΑΡ ΑΝΤΩΝЄΙΝΟϹ, laureate, draped and cuirassed bust to right / ΚΑΥϹΤΡOϹ ΚЄΝΧΡЄΙΟϹ around, ЄΠΙ ΠΑΙΤΟΥ ЄΦЄϹΙΩΝ in two lines beneath cult-statue of Artemis Ephesia wearing kalathos and standing facing, with supports, between river-gods Kaystros, on the left, and Kenchrios, on the right, reclining to right and left and facing each other, each resting arm on urn from which water flows. Cf. RPC IV.2 online 1114 (for reverse legend without personal name); Karwiese -. Very Fine. Heavily tooled and smoothed. This coin appears to be the Leu Numismatik AG, Web Auction 27, 9 September 2023, lot 1227 (tooled and smoothed since). Otherwise apparently unpublished.(28.29gr, 35mm, 6h.).
