Anglo-Saxon. Secondary Sceattas AR Sceatta. Circa 730-750.
Mint in East Anglia. Series R. Crude bust to right with C-shaped ear; to left, Λ flanked by annulets; annulet and legend in runic to right / 'Standard' with central annulet, chevrons in upper corners, diagonal lines in lower; crosses on each side, radiating line on each corner. Abrsamson 11–120 var. (legend); cf. Metcalf 403-6 (for similar legend); North -; SCBC 813A. Near Very Fine. Apparently unrecorded legend.(0.83gr, 12mm, 9h.).
