ANGLO-SAXON GOLD AND GARNET DISC PENDANT
LATER 7TH CENTURY AD
1 1/4" (5.11 grams, 31mm).

A flat disc pendant with beaded wire border, applied ribbed loop extending to the rear face; gold cellwork cross with inset cloison garnets and beaded wire border, central domed glass boss with green glass knop.

PROVENANCE:
Treasure Act reference 2013T371, disclaimed; supplied with documentation. Ex Baird collection; formerly property of a Surrey gentleman.
