Anglo-Saxon Gilt Bronze Pin Head with Cross

7TH-8TH CENTURY A.D.

1 1/4 in. (8 grams, 31 mm).

Discoid with reserved central cross between four lentoid panels of reserved knotwork; end of broken shaft; later modified with holes to accept four domed rivets at the apices of the cross (three in situ) and one re-drilled; central mounting hole. [No Reserve]
