Anglo-Saxon Enamelled Hanging Bowl Mount Group

6TH CENTURY AD

1 1/2 - 1 3/4" (52 grams total, 41-42mm).

A matched trio of bronze disc appliqués, each a plaque with trilinear border surrounding a pattern of La Tène whirls and tendrils reserved against a red enamel field.

Provenance

Found Leicestershire, UK, 2020; this lot has been checked against the Interpol Database of stolen works of art and is accompanied by AIAD certificate number no. 10440-168912.
