Ancient Roman Provincial Coins - Gordian III and Tranquilina - Singara Tyche Seated AE 238-244 A.D.
Singara, Mesopotamia. Obv: AYTOK K M ANT GORDIANON CAB TRANKVLLINA CEB, laureate, draped bust of Gordian right, facing draped bust of Tranquillina left. Rev: AYR CEP KOL CINGARA, Tyche seated left on rocks, turreted and holding corn-ears, above her the centaur Sagittarius leaping left shooting bow, river-god swimming left below. Very fine.(24.22 grams, 31 mm.).
