Amlash Ceramic Jar

10 in. (1.3 kg, 25.5 cm high).
Featuring a bulbous body and broad cylindrical neck with everted rim, integral handle with knop to upper edge, spiralling arm creating a loop to the opposite face, impressed triangles around the neck base; possibly a zoomorphic composition.

Examined by Professor Wilfrid George Lambert FBA (1926-2011), historian, archaeologist, and specialist in Assyriology and Near Eastern archaeology, in the late 1980s and early 1990s. This small collection is exceptional for the variety of types, including some very rare and well preserved examples. -
