LATE 19TH CENTURY A.D.
1 3/4 in. (27.54 grams, 45.36 mm overall, 20.62 mm internal diameter (approximate size British V 1/2, USA 10 3/4, Europe 24.4, Japan 23)).
Broad hoop with stamped star, crescent and other motifs; heater-shaped plaque with incised grid, each cell filled with an Arabic numeral or other symbol; chamfered transverse panel above and arcade to the rounded end. [No Reserve]

Examined by Professor Wilfrid George Lambert FBA (1926-2011), historian, archaeologist, and specialist in Assyriology and Near Eastern archaeology, in the late 1980s and early 1990s. The collection is exceptional for the variety of types, including some very rare and well preserved examples.
