12TH-13TH CENTURY A.D.
1 1/8 in. (9.77 grams, 28.57 mm overall, 19.06 mm internal diameter (approximate size British R 1/2, USA 8 3/4, Europe 19.38, Japan 18)).
A hollow-form D-section hoop with applied filigree rope to the borders, raised gilt bezel set with a carnelian intaglio engraved with a one line inscription.
ProvenancePrivate collection of Mr K.A., acquired in the 1990s-early 2000s.

The people of Luristan were nomadic, constantly moving in summer and winter pastures, and needed metal utensils. Therefore, in addition to weapons, these excellent metal workers produced, in considerable numbers, light and elegant bronze vases and cups. -
