Western Asiatic Grey Stone Cylinder Seal with Animals
2ND MILLENNIUM B.C.
1 1/8 in. (10.9 grams, 30 mm).
Irregular carved stone seal with frieze depicting a standing human figure with raised arms, two long-necked quadrupeds (bulls?) and a frond or bush; supplied with a museum-quality impression.
Provenance
From a Cotswold, UK, collection, item no.3; as seen and catalogued by the late Professor Wilfrid George Lambert pre 1990.
