Western Asiatic Bronze Crested Bird Statuette
6TH-8TH CENTURY A.D.
1 1/8 in. (18.5 grams, 29 mm wide).
Modelled in the round with semi-naturalistic detailing, curved comb and wattle, raised disc eyes, carinated pentagonal tail.

‘The Ancient Menagerie Collection’ formerly the property of a Cambridgeshire lady, collected since the 1990s and acquired from auctions and dealers throughout Europe and the USA, now ex London collection.
