Viking Period Silver Ring and Bird Pendant Group
8TH-10TH CENTURY A.D.
7/8 - 2 1/8 in. (7.51 grams total, 22-53 mm).
A trio of silver jewellery items comprising: two slender annular rings with overlapping terminals and coiled collars; a free-running pendant in the form of a stylised bird with eye and body detailing, three suspension loops and remaining chain links below. [3]

A bronze equal-arm brooch of Aargård Type III A, with central lozenge, symmetrical scooped flanges with low-relief geometric ornament and trefoil finial, raised circular sockets, remains of ferrous pin to the reverse with lugs and catch, copper-alloy suspension ring attached to a loop to one pierced socket. 21.5 grams, 79 mm

Acquired before 1960. From the family collection of a UK gentleman, by descent in the early 1970s. -
