Viking Lead Brooch Group

9TH-11TH CENTURY A.D.

1 - 1 1/8 in. (42.2 grams total, 26-28 mm).

Comprising: one plano-convex in profile with radiating arms and pellets, ferrous remains to reverse; one flat with raised bosses connected by ribs. [2, No Reserve]

Found 'Ainsbrook', North-West Yorkshire, UK, circa 2005-2007.
Ian Wilkinson collection, Nottinghamshire, UK, formed since 1985.
