VIKING IRON CROSS-POTENT INLAID SWORD
(Iron, 1.2 kg, 97 cm.).

Circa 11th century AD. An iron hand-forged sword with Type X pommel and lenticular square-section crossguard; the blade gently tapering with shallow fuller, the piled construction visible in the core and three inlaid brass crosses potent below the hilt.
