VIKING ENAMELLED RUS PENDANT WITH BIRD
10TH-12TH CENTURY AD
1 1/4" (10.6 grams, 34mm).

A gilt-bronze earring or pendant with hinged hoop, D-shaped body with champ-levé enamelled ornament, a standing bird to one face and a floral motif to the other. [No Reserve]

PROVENANCE:
From the family collection of a UK gentleman, by descent in the early 1970s; previously acquired before 1960.
