Composed of an expanded bezel decorated with shallow engraved zigzags arranged into lozenges, the arms tapering to slender coils. [No Reserve]

In the Baltic workmanship, bracelets were mostly cast and polished. The metal could also be shaped into the desired form by hammering and/ or by twisting one piece of metal. The surface was often ornamented with stamped markings of lines and dots. -

Acquired in the late 1970s and 1980s. Ex property of a London gentleman.
Such Islamic coins were traded across the Viking world and have been discovered as grave goods or in hoards (as coins and as jewellery items) in Scandinavia and the Baltic area.
