VICTORIA - GOLD LONDON HALF SOVEREIGN - 1885
(3.98 grams.).

Dated 1885. Young head with date below, dies ↑↓. Obv: with VICTORIA DEI GRATIA legend. Rev: crowned shield with BRITANNIARum REGINA FID:DEF: legend. Brilliant uncirculated, with minor abrasions.

PROVENANCE:
Part of an 1885 gold/silver year set recovered from beneath a foundation stone in Chatham some forty years ago (see other lots for the rest of these coins).
