Found whilst searching with a metal detector in Brompton, North Yorkshire, on Thursday 25 June 2008, recorded as Treasure and disclaimed by the Crown with Treasure Reference no.2009 T10. Accompanied by a copy of the British Museum's Portable Antiquities Scheme (PAS) report no.NCL-B5BCC7. Accompanied by a copy of a letter from the British Museum and Her Majesty's Coroner regarding the find.
