STATE OF NEW YORK NEW-YORK CURRENCY TWO DOLLARS. NEW - YORK : Printed by SAMUEL LOUDON, in the Year M.DCC.LXXVI. /
TWO Dollars NEW [YORK TWO DOLLAR] No. 1464 THIS BILL shall pass current in all Payments in this State, for TWO SPANISH MILLED
DOLLARS, or the Value thereof in Gold or Silver; according to the Resolution of the Convention of New-York, on the Thirteenth Day of August, 1776. (signatures) Two Dollars 'Tis Death to counterfit. 2 D. Condition as seen.(Circa 109mm x 64mm.).

Provenance

From the private collection of author and historian Dr DeWitt Bailey, one of the global authorities on the confederate army in the US civil war; thence by descent to his grandson.
