Umayyad Caliphate. Time of Hisham ibn 'Abd al-Malik AE Fals. Dated AH 120(?) (AD 737/8). Wâsit mint.
Within two concentric dotted circles, 'There is no deity but Allah, the One, there is no partner to Him' in three lines in Arabic; five annulets in border / Within dotted circle, 'Muhammad is the messenger of Allah' in three lines in Arabic; in the margin, 'In the name of Allah; this fals was struck in Wasit in the year 120' in Arabic. Album 205; cf. Walker 941. Very Fine.(2.99gr, 20mm, 9h.).
