    Umayyad Caliphate AR Dirham. Time of Yazid III ibn al-Walid, dated AH 126 (AD 744). Wasit mint.

    'There is no deity but Allah, the One, there is no partner to Him' in three lines in the centre in Arabic; in the margin, 'In the name of Allah. This dirham was struck in Wasit in the year 126' in Arabic / 'Allah is One, Allah is Absolute, He begets not, nor is He begotten, and none is like Him' in four lines in the centre in Arabic; in the margin, 'Muhammad is the messenger of Allah. He sent him with guidance and the religion of truth, so that He may make it overcome all religions, even though the unbelievers may dislike it' in Arabic. Album 139. 2.86gr, 25mm, 10h.
