Umayyad Caliphate AE Fals. Time of 'Abd al-Malik ibn Marwan, AH 65-70 (AD 685-705). Arab-Byzantine type.
Caliph standing facing, placing his right hand on the hilt of his sword, whip shown as long loop on left side; inscription in Kufic around / Cross transformed to Φ standing on base and two steps; mint name in Kufic on the left and eight-pointed star on the right, inscription in Kufic around.
