TIBETAN BUDDHIST CARVED STONE SKULL
20TH CENTURY A.D.
7 in. (1.89 kg, 18 cm).

Of stylised form with hollowed-out eye sockets and nostrils, large teeth and a low-relief symbol on the forehead. [No Reserve]

PROVENANCE:
From the family collection of a Hampstead gentleman; formerly acquired in the 1980s.
This lot is accompanied by an illustrated lot declaration signed by the Head of the Antiquities Department, Dr Raffaele D'Amato.
