900-1000 A.D.
2 in. (17 grams, 49 mm).

Tongue-shaped with foliage design in Winchester Style openwork attachment plate to broad end. [No Reserve]

PROVENANCE:
Found Willingham, Cambridgeshire, UK, on Sunday 1st September 2024.

Accompanied by a copy of the British Museum's Portable Antiquities Scheme report no.SF-0A3268 including drawings.
This lot is accompanied by an illustrated lot declaration signed by the Head of the Antiquities Department, Dr Raffaele D'Amato.
