KUSHAN EMPIRE, 2ND-3RD CENTURY A.D.

6 1/4 in. (1.94 kg total, 15.9 cm wide including stand).

Carved as a standing saddled horse biting a large snake entangled around its body; mounted on a rectangular stand.

Provenance

From a West London collection and formerly in a Mayfair gallery.
