1/8 - 3/4 in. (115 grams total, 2-20 mm).

Comprising a quantity of small beads, in mixed shapes, colours and materials, including seven tumble-polished turquoise; each pierced for stringing. [No Reserve]

    In the Oxford post medieval levels, of the later material, the most interesting piece was a large fragment of stoneware flagon, substantially identical to our specimen, inscribed 'R, Gurden Roe Buck Oxford'. Trade directories of the mid-19th century show that a Richard Curden was proprietor of the Roebuck family and commercial hotel and posting house in Cornmarket Street.

    Each differently sized and displaying a design in relief, including fleurs with heraldic lions within a decorative border, shell over cartouche with border of scrolling foliage, vegetal and other worn motifs. 5.9 kg total, 12.8-14.2 cm

    These glazed stove or floor tiles are similar to the ones of the great hall and the Tudor kitchens at Hampton Court Palace, made of ceramic, with a glaze to make it hard wearing and washable. Not just the furnishings, but the palaces themselves were multi-coloured, with brick walls painted red, and exposed timbers in yellow, red, green and white.
