Possibly Scottish. Acquired from Stephen Murray, Blackburn, West Lothian, Scotland, in 1979. From the private collection of Kenneth Machin (1936-2020), Buckinghamshire, UK; with collection no.N1; his collection of antiquities and natural history was formed since 1948; thence by descent. Accompanied by copies of two old photographs, and two letters from the Royal Scottish Museum, and one from the British Museum regarding this axehead, all dated 1978/9. -
