8 in. (1.54 kg, 20.2 cm).

With rounded brain-pan, articulating mandible; perhaps Homo habilis, an extinct species of archaic human from the Early Pleistocene of East and South Africa about 2.3 million years ago to 1.65 million years ago. [No Reserve]

From a collection acquired on the UK art market from various auction houses and collections mostly before 2000.
From an important Cambridgeshire estate; thence by descent.
