Stone Age Polished Grained Dolerite Axehead
NEOLITHIC PERIOD, CIRCA 4000-2300 B.P.
4 1/4 in. (332 grams, 10.6 cm).
A complete ground or polished stone axehead sub-ovate in plan, narrower at the butt end with a steep curve to the cutting edge, facetted ovate section with squared off sides. [No Reserve]
