Scaphoid in section with irregular rounded butt and curved edge, polished; old find spot label 'Fontigny Lalbie'. [No Reserve]

    Flint blade of above-average length and slimness (so-called "hache-ciseau") with almost parallel sides and circular cross-section; rounded cutting edge, roughly hewn, blunt neck; longitudinal grinding marks from manufacture, surface polished towards cutting edge; greyish stone (silex) with light spots; originally attached to a wooden handle, possibly with intermediary lining made of antler. 96 grams, 15.2 cm (198 grams total, 19 cm including stand)
