5 3/4 in. (656 grams, 14.8 cm).
Boat-shaped in plan with central drilling; domed hammer-face to butt, carination to each broad face.

Footnotes
The weapon (or tool) belongs to the typology with rounded butt and convex sides. It is very common in the Neolithic Period of the British Isles.

Smaller handaxes continued as components of Middle Paleolithic industries (Acheulian and Mousterian) associated with the Neanderthal Homo Sapiens. These rather crude handaxes probably reflect the coarser nature of the stone. -
