LOWER PALAEOLITHIC PERIOD, CIRCA 400,000 B.P.

4 3/8 in. (192 grams, 11 cm).

Plano-convex in section with some cortex to the irregular butt; inked legend 'Sept.93 / Longeuil / Ste. Marie / 60'. [No Reserve]

Provenance

Jean-Claude Debenne (1936-2020), amateur prehistorian, former member of the French Society of Prehistory and the Prehistoric Association of the South-West, Honorary Member of the Geological Club of Ile-de-France.
Collection of flints formed between the 1950s and 1990s and coming from Ile-de-France, Oise and Val-d'Oise.

Accompanied by a copy of a French cultural passport.
