NEOLITHIC PERIOD, 6TH-4TH MILLENNIUM B.P.

1 7/8 - 3 3/8 in. (53 grams total, 48-85 mm).

Comprising: a narrow triangular blade with dentilled edge, marked 'N8-79' and '449'; irregular banded sandstone pebble with perforation, marked '445'. [2, No Reserve]

Provenance

Found Felwell, Norfolk, UK.
From the private collection of Kenneth Machin (1936-2020), Buckinghamshire, UK; his collection of antiquities and natural history was formed since 1948; thence by descent.

    The site of Happisburgh in Norfolk has helped to push the history of inhabitation of the British Isles back by 200,000 years, making it a site of special importance.
