Stone Age Danish Type 1b Brown Flint Stiletto Dagger
NEOLITHIC PERIOD, CIRCA 2250 B.C.
6 1/8 in. (53 grams, 15.5 cm).
Several inked inscriptions in black to the reverse: 'Denmark / Ex-Richard / Britton / 7-13' and 'HZZ' ALSO '30' AND in white 'CC-70532'. [No Reserve]

Comprising: large blade cores (4); long blade flakes (3) and a finely knapped slender axe with convex cutting edge tapering to a near pointed butt; most with inked 'Spiennes' findspot note and with eleven inked and typed paper tickets giving details, some dated to 1950s. 3.5 kg total, 14 - 23 cm

The blade cores and blades are very similar in form and size to the famous 'livres de beurre' examples found at Grand Pressigny, France.
