LOWER PALAEOLITHIC PERIOD, CIRCA 700,000-300,000 B.P.
2 3/8 - 3 5/8 in. (310 grams total, 59-92 mm).
Comprising: a sturdy implement with a conical top, two inked collection notes '4157/1/28' and 'SNC. 11.81. W.G.S.' to the narrow face; a scraper with two inked collection notes 'S.N.C. 2.80. W.G.S.' and '4306/1/28' and a small arrow on the other side. [2, No Reserve]

Previously in several old Stone Age tool collections, having been annotated with two different accession numbers.
Acquired from an Oxfordshire, UK, auction house.
