Ovate in plan with a rounded cutting edge, two old collection notes 'S.N.C. 1.82 WGS' and '3977/1/28'. [No Reserve]

Similar specimens of arrowheads have been found in the Eastern Sahara Region of Abu Tartur Plateau. Most of the arrowheads came from the El Jarar Neolithic, c. 7700-7300 B.P. (c.6500-6100 B.C.). Other parallels occur in the region of Kharga Oasis. -

The weapon (or tool) belongs to the typology with rounded butt and convex sides. It is very common in the Neolithic Period of the British Isles. -
