Stone Age British Flint Handaxe Group
PALAEOLITHIC PERIOD, 400,000-300,000 B.P.
4 5/8 - 5 1/8 in. (709 grams total, 11.8-15 cm).
Comprising two tapered hand axes each with spatulate tips, with typical river terrace patination and water-worn surfaces, one inked 'MORETON 1929' and the other with inked 'MORETON 7/24' label. [2, No Reserve]

Found Moreton, Dorset, UK, in the 1920s.
Acquired in the 1980s.
